Its charity number is 1189091.<\/p>\n        <p data-i18n=\"p-2\">We were founded in 2016 to send volunteer professors to teach short, skills-focused courses at universities and colleges. Our pilot programme reached 200 students in Sierra Leone in 2016. We have since taught in Uganda, Thailand, India and Senegal.<\/p>\n        <p data-i18n=\"p-3\">In 2019, 15 volunteer professors taught more than 400 students in five countries across Africa and Asia. That year we ran our first programme in Francophone Africa, a course in social entrepreneurship for science and maths students in Thi&#232;s, Senegal. Sixty per cent of our programmes now target all-women colleges.<\/p>\n        <p data-i18n=\"p-4\">Carrier funded the flights for all our professors in 2019, and a new partnership with LSE Ideas at the London School of Economics gave us offices, meeting rooms and conference space.<\/p>\n        <p data-i18n=\"p-5\">Earlier this month we postponed all our summer programmes because of the Covid-19 pandemic and cancelled the flights of the professors who were ready to travel to Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Uganda, India, Thailand and Laos.
