Yet there is a real gap between Luxembourg's top position and the level of financial literacy among its younger generations. To close this gap, the NGO <a href=\"https:\/\/prowibo.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Professeurs Sans Fronti\u00e8res (PSF) \/ Professors Without Borders (Prowibo) a.s.b.l.<\/a> organised a new 2026 edition of its Financial Literacy Bootcamp, for the first time in Luxembourg, from 17 April to 13 July, with financial support from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oeuvre.lu\/fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u0152uvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n    <h2 data-template-id=\"h_reach\">Financial excellence within reach<\/h2>\r\n    <p data-template-id=\"reach1\">As the world capital of fund management, Luxembourg is home to more than \u20ac5 trillion in assets under management. Yet according to the OECD (2023), its 18 to 29-year-olds lack training in investing. For now, the Grand Duchy's financial excellence remains out of reach for its own young people.<\/p>\r\n    <p data-template-id=\"reach2\">This needed urgent action. Prowibo decided to take on the challenge, and the first Financial Literacy Bootcamp was born.<\/p>\r\n\r\n    <h2 data-template-id=\"h_step1\">Step one: training by investment professionals<\/h2>\r\n    <p data-template-id=\"step1\">Between 17 April and 2 May 2026, 20 participants aged 16 to 22, who had expressed their interest to Prowibo, were hosted by professionals from the law firm White &amp; Case, CaixaBank Asset Management and Nordic Capital, whom Prowibo had convinced of the value of such a bootcamp. These professionals gave their valuable time to teach the young people the fundamentals of personal finance and investing. It gave participants the chance to learn directly from people who work in finance, who shared not only their professional expertise but also their own experiences and career paths.<\/p>\r\n\r\n    <h2 data-template-id=\"h_practice\">From theory to practice: managing \u20ac100,000<\/h2>\r\n    <p data-template-id=\"practice1\">What makes Prowibo's Bootcamp different is that it goes beyond theory and beyond the walls of a classroom. After the Bootcamp lessons, each participant continued the experience with a mentor. For two months, financial sector professionals from the partner institutions guided, encouraged and advised them on their choices in managing a fictitious portfolio of \u20ac100,000.<\/p>\r\n    <p data-template-id=\"practice2\">At the end of this period, an independent jury, meeting at Deloitte Luxembourg, selected the most rigorous and complete investment strategy. Each participant received a certificate of participation and an in-depth evaluation of their work, based on their mentor's analysis.<\/p>\r\n\r\n    <h2 data-template-id=\"h_equity\">Education as a lever for social equity<\/h2>\r\n    <p data-template-id=\"equity1\">By opening the doors of finance to the Grand Duchy's young people, Prowibo aims to demystify a sector often seen as inaccessible and, as surveys and testimonies show, particularly intimidating for women. With a group of students made up of more than 50% women, the NGO is tackling gender stereotypes around money and investing head on.<\/p>\r\n    <p data-template-id=\"quote_intro\">One of the Bootcamp participants, El\u00e9onore Pereira, 17, a student at the \u00c9cole de Commerce et de Gestion, reflects this ambition:<\/p>\r\n    <blockquote>\r\n      <p data-template-id=\"quote\">\u201cMy goal is to become independent and have my own business as my main source of income, but also to be an investor and earn extra income that way.\u201d<\/p>\r\n      <cite data-template-id=\"quote_cite\">El\u00e9onore Pereira, Bootcamp participant<\/cite>\r\n    <\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n    <h2 data-template-id=\"h_exchange\">A two-way exchange<\/h2>\r\n    <p data-template-id=\"exchange1\">For Professeurs Sans Fronti\u00e8res, this Bootcamp is much more than an educational programme. It is a space for networking and intergenerational exchange. The mentors take the opportunity to volunteer and get involved in Luxembourg society in a concrete way, while training the talent that will make up the next generation of professionals and entrepreneurs. Through them, participants discover how finance works and become familiar with its principles and concepts.<\/p>\r\n\r\n    <section class=\"pf-about\">\r\n      <h2 data-template-id=\"h_about\">About Professeurs Sans Fronti\u00e8res (Prowibo)<\/h2>\r\n      <p data-template-id=\"about1\">Professeurs Sans Fronti\u00e8res\/Professors Without Borders a.s.b.l. is an NGO registered in Luxembourg and the United Kingdom, working for fairer access to quality education. The organisation strengthens inspiring learning experiences around the world, encouraging students to become leaders in their local communities.<\/p>\r\n      <p data-template-id=\"about2\">The organisation believes that education goes far beyond the walls of a classroom and its pupils. It relies on inspiring teachers, a community united to build momentum, and learners who are helped to grow so they can build a better future for themselves and for others. The Financial Literacy Bootcamp was a perfect example of this collaboration between education, business and philanthropy.<\/p>\r\n      <p data-template-id=\"about3\">In 2024\/2025, Professors Without Borders delivered 18,427 hours of teaching in 9 countries, reaching 847 students through 21 volunteer professors, with a 98% satisfaction rate and 100% positive feedback.
